You have a comforting style that facilitates the reader's participation in self-contemplation. It's similar to how a mystery novel or science fiction story sweeps one off into another world while physically going nowhere. It got me thinking that home has little to do with location but everything to do with emotion. In a way, your writing is home for a while. Where I choose to go feels like home, but my most significant home is Chicago, one I didn't choose. It's where I was tortured and became self-reliant. Why I needed to find myself in that manner is a mystery, but if I didn't learn to survive, I’d be emotionally homeless today.
