Thank you for sharing. I think of myself as a person of faith too. One chapter in the New Testament starts with a verse I've always remembered.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
I tend to take that to heart, in that my faith and hope is mine to wield and answer to God for. I'm very wary when someone or a group tries to dilute or make it theirs. Friends, family, and communities gathering to share testimony or perform charity is of pure intent. I draw my line as it becomes more structured.
