Right on, a unique quality of poetry is that it's interpreted in different ways. Anyone who cares to read it is correct in their thoughts. It's a shame we are taught the “one solution doctrine,” especially in the humanities.
You're right; I sometimes read something I wrote and am happy because I find new meaning. Misbah, you touched on my lament for the way I was educated. Every subject focused on facts and single solutions but ignored the most crucial point; that everything changes constantly. I sucked at art, but I loved it because I felt free to imagine an outcome, even when given a specific object to work with. I wish my schooling had taught me to use my intuition and imagination rather than how to follow a script. I dislike being made to feel I “should” want to be the most “profound” person in a room.

Now dissecting thoughts and emotions, pinning words, then commentary to the facets, curating and sharing them as legends of my being. Then they’re on their own.
