The arts, crafts, love, hate, peace, and war humans materialize via our collective mind are at their pinnacle when realized by a gasp.

Then, finally, there are no words, further thought on the subject is unnecessary, and the awestruck recognition becomes the final ingredient of the genius or stupidity of the action.

It renders moot all talk of rank and who or what is the greatest or worst of all time. For a moment, all else is mediocrity.

Those moments become life’s unalterable treasures and tragedies. They are beacons that attest to a lesson learned.

Unfortunately and ironically, all too often, they are the moments we’re insanely apt to forget until, oh, I gasped.
