It isn't easy to deal with. My best friend committed suicide in 1976. I was and still am very integrated into the entire episode. He left behind his wife and 1 yr old daughter, but not before sending her a tape recording message that ended with a gunshot. He did it for real a few days later. He had anger and all kinds of negative energy in him. Your friend most likely did too. Although I disapprove what he did, I knew another side of him. I pray he improves his journey.
