Where is she? Our van is still in the garage. He left the bedroom and checked the kitchen, family room, and even the basement. No Rita. Why would she be in one of the kid’s rooms? He sat at the kitchen table before heading back to the bedrooms. She doesn’t want to see me. Or doesn’t want to be seen. If I cheated on her and got caught what would I do? “I’d beg for forgiveness,” he told himself. Just like she did. I’d hide. Like she is.
