I like the demographic getting primetime notice. Being a part of this age group, I see why advertising and pop culture focus on the under-fifty masses. It’s where the money’s being invested and spent. But it’s because, by the time they retire, the plus sixty’s want to stop participating in that weirdness. There are enough baby boomers to take a more significant role, but most just say no. LOL, they get into feeding animals in their backyards and becoming Medium writers. For me, it will simply be a place where a ‘Blackbird’ learns to fly again, hopefully not being or feeling alone. The folks in this show all appear successful as individuals; if this is how they enjoy themselves, then more power to them! I hope they treat each other with respect and are honest about who they are when meeting on their dates or whatever. Hopefully, the show doesn’t dictate their behavior. I’d like to have one where the woman chooses men. Then again, the show is a microcosm, a group with a common short-term goal; maybe who is deciding who isn’t about individuals at all? At the end of this show, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s clear the woman had just as much choice in the outcome as the man.
